King Renovate completed a fast-track retail store renovation and turnkey interior fit-out for MINISO at Stone Road Mall in Guelph, Ontario. The approximately 3,500 sq. ft. corner unit featured an expansive storefront wrapping two sides of the store, creating a highly visible retail presence within the mall.
The complete scope included storefront construction and finishing, display areas on both sides, the main entrance door and grille door, ceiling work, painting, lighting, cameras, speakers, low-voltage systems, retail shelving, and a new custom cashier desk. King Renovate coordinated these scopes through one accountable construction team from mobilization to final handover.
A major technical challenge was preparing the perimeter walls to safely support MINISO’s shelving system. The existing wall construction did not provide sufficient backing at the required fixing points, so our team installed metal furring channels, continuous plywood backing, and new drywall to create a strong, accurate substrate for the shelving installation.
Through detailed scheduling, parallel trade coordination, and close quality control, the entire project was completed in 32 days. The finished store became one of King Renovate’s standout retail projects, distinguished by its large corner storefront, polished interior, and clean integration of fixtures, lighting, technology, and custom millwork.
