King Renovate completed a fast-track MINISO retail renovation at Heartland Town Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. The approximately 5,000 sq. ft. retail fit-out was completed in about 15 days and included selective demolition, plaster and floor repairs, painting, electrical modifications, custom high-ceiling track lighting, shelving, gondola installation, final deficiencies, and project handover.

The renovation required extensive coordination because of the store’s approximately 24-foot ceiling and the large lighting system installed across the retail floor. King Renovate coordinated the construction, electrical work, specialty lighting support system, finishes, and fixture installation to deliver a clean and functional retail environment on an accelerated schedule.

Track Lighting Beneath a 24-Foot Ceiling

The existing ceiling was approximately 24 feet high, while the store required continuous track lighting at a practical height above the merchandise. The lighting layout needed a stable support system that could span the large sales floor and maintain consistent alignment.

Our Solution

King Renovate installed a custom metal support grid below the high ceiling to create a coordinated mounting plane for the track lights. The grid was laid out to suit the retail plan and installed accurately so the long lighting lines remained straight, evenly spaced, and visually integrated with the store.

Long Lighting Runs and Dedicated Wiring

The track-light lines extended across significant portions of the 5,000 sq. ft. store. Power had to be brought from the high ceiling and distributed along each run without creating an unorganized appearance or interrupting the lighting layout.

Our Solution

The electrical work was planned together with the metal-grid layout. Wiring was routed down from the ceiling to the support grid, and five or six dedicated wire feeds were provided for each extended track-light line. This coordinated approach supported the length of the lighting runs and created a clean, functional installation.

Large Store, Fifteen-Day Schedule

The approximately 5,000 sq. ft. renovation included demolition, repairs, finishes, complex lighting work, and extensive retail-fixture installation, all within a very short construction period.

King Renovate used a focused daily schedule and coordinated compatible work in parallel. Demolition and repairs progressed alongside electrical preparation, while painting and final finishes were sequenced around the grid, lighting, shelving, and gondola installation. This kept the full sales floor moving toward turnover throughout the 15-day program.
